5 Fun Ikea Hacks…and a few ways to get the same look with Efex.

That large box Swedish store is not always my style, but I still love it. And… their furniture is often so plain that it is easy to hack it into something else. Advantages and Disadvantage about. Below are my top five Ikea hack ideas paired with few of the Efex you could use to get the same look.

1 – This Ikea Tarva became a drinks bar, with a coat of paint and new hardware. Get the look with corners. C6 and C7 would be the perfect match to go from simple to elegant art deco style.

2 – This tall black dresser that started life as a plain pine. They trim around the drawers appears to be wooden but our  Greek Key would be perfect. You can even  get the mid-century modern look like Stacey.

3- For something a little simpler and easy, how about the Rasta chest and some bead trim.

4- We loved the idea of these painted magazine holders to keep clutter at bay, but what about adding a drop on the back. Like our friend Johanne did in the lovely book redo.

5 – A farm style table can makes a great statement. Use it as a dining table or a desk, and dress up the legs with 4 rosettes, like  this antique we found at a tag sale.

Bonus idea, take any of these round tables from Ikea and turn them into wonderful dining or entry tables with bendable trims. With over 25 trim styles to choose from the possibites are endless.
