Making marble with Efex is easy!

Last month I had the pleasure of meeting Steve Wallis and taking a class on marbling and faux finishing at one of our retailers, Robyn Story Designs.

The tips, tricks and education we received in two long dayswas amazing. I could not wait to get home and use my new bag of tricks!

Marble

This oval Efex ceiling medallion, CL 4, is the perfect choice for marbling. We used watered Chalk Paint® in Old White, Paris Grey, and Graphite. Our new best friend, a trusty Badger brush, blurred the lines perfectly to create the veins.

We then tried the Badger as a layering tool for this lovely Scandinavian effect using our rosette R 41 as the centerpiece.

I can hardly wait to take these techniques and try them out on a full size piece of furniture. Maybe a fireplace mantle? Or the doors on a cupboard! The possibilities are endless.

What faux techniques have you tried with Efex?
