Simple French Provincial
Remember that furniture that was all the rage when we were kids? I know it’s what my bedroom set looked like. White French Provincial was an iconic bedroom style for years.
Today, our friend Cindy from Edith and Evelyn has transformed a French Provincial dresser into something special using Efex Decorative Mouldings.
I love the way Cindy used Efex on this dresser and how they added to the piece. However, when I got up and read her blog this morning and saw her drop-dead gorgeous pictures, all I could see was the outstanding paint job.
Cindy has been painting furniture for years and her expertise shows in every picture.
She used three colors, dark gray {Pure & Original Classico Evening Shadow}, pale blue {Pure & Original Classico Lagoon Water}, and grayish blue {General Finishes Chalk Style Paint Charleton Blue}. Cindy used the dark gray as a base coat, highlighted with the pale blue, and finished with the darker blue in some areas.
The way she layered the paint was just perfect.
If you want some more fun inspiration for today, hop on over to Cindy’s blog and read her post on this project. And while you’re there don’t forget to ready about the moss planter that she has sitting on the dressers. It’s one of the better fall craft ideas we have seen in a long time, and I bet it will become a staple at my home.
