A couple of months ago I fell in love with this antique Swedish desk, It took us a while to find a sad little brown slant top desk. It was in great shape just a little too brown for my taste. Sorry, I forgot to take the before picture.

We started with a base coat of Old White Chalk Paint® and then added a finish coat of Pure White.

We applied two Efex frames F28 and finished painting. Now it was time for the finish to make it completely Scandinavian.

There are few element of Scandinavian design I love better than yummy white and grey. These were the colors I fell in love and blogged about with early this year, at two of my favorite antique stores.

For this finish we used General Finishes glazes. A combination of clear, black and white all mixed with extender and then layered on.  While this is one way to get this look.

Before the final clear top coat we sanded back all of the flat spaces which gave it a  textured feeling.
