And I know how to use them! Yes, I had ZZ Top running through my head the whole time I was applying the appliques. We’re loving the legs Efex™, L1 & L2 in the catalog. We used 4 L1s to spiff up this sofa table.
DAP® contact cement applied to the backs of the leg pieces, now playing the waiting game until the glue is dry to the touch…
Glue on the legs too, always a good idea to trace where the Efex™ are going, especially on a piece like this where they all have to by symmetrical. Don’t want lopsided legs!
Ta-da! So easy! Good thing these guys are flexible, otherwise we wouldn’t be able to adorn curvy legs like these.
Want legs like these? Check out our retailers to get them!
Check back tomorrow to see the painted piece!
I was just wondering how to distress the Efex…to match the wood tone of the furniture piece???
Hi Deborah,
You have two options here, you can stain the Efex™ appliqué with a brand of wood stain that matches your piece, or once you’ve distressed with a high grit sandpaper you can apply a dark wax over your piece to highlight the distressed areas.
I had the same issue when I made my country door with Efex, I had wood showing through the chipped and distressed areas, and then the lighter shade of the latex. I simply layered some dark wax onto the appliqués until I had the tone I was looking for. Easy as pie!
Hope that helps, let us know if you have any more questions!
HI Don’t you have an online catalogue that we could buy the appliques from? Having a hard time with retailers. Your either not listed on their sites to buy or the catalogue is really small. The two retailers in NJ are pretty far from me. Thanks
Hi Kat,
We don’t have an online catalog at this point, we’re focusing on getting our retailers up and running. Not all of them will have an online store, but I will give you the information for the three retailers in NJ. Hope this helps! The first place on the list is working tirelessly to get her online store up and running, she just became one of our NJ ladies.
