We are always searching for inspiration. Either finding different ways to use our existing appliqués or looking for new appliqués. Most of our appliqués come from historically accurate wood carvings from England. However, recently we have begun collecting antique appliqués to make into Efex.

One of my favorite sites for finding inspiration is  Tone on Tone a fabulous shop in Bethesda Maryland. (I do have an obsession with Swedish Antiques!)

This single picture has a lovely desk with an ornamental carving on the front that would make a great Efex. It is similar to our current Urn (R90) but with extra swags.

While the mirror above this lovely blue bureau would be so easy to replicate using our greek key trim (T33) and our small bead trim (T70).

Finally, I would love to have the basket carving from this mirror. Wouldn’t that make a great appliqué?
